Get your chemistry
working for your wash.

Practical guidance from the CWC Chemical Program: identify the product, understand the application, and check the result.

Dilution & application

Start with your product.
Then your equipment.

There is no single dilution that fits every wash. Product version, water, equipment, and application all matter. CWC can help establish the settings for your operation.

01

Read the top label

Identify the exact product and SKU on the container lid before connecting a line or placing an order. Similar names can have different formulas and directions.

For example, Mirror Carnuba and Mirror Carnuba HM require different dilution settings.

02

Use your setup sheet

Match the product to your wash type, injector, metering tip or dial, and operating conditions. A tip color alone does not establish the dilution.

Use the directions for your exact product and the setup sheet prepared for your wash. Ask CWC if either is missing or the settings no longer match.

03

Check amount and strength

Volumetrics measures how much chemical is delivered. Titration checks the strength of the mixed solution using the correct method for that product.

CWC can help establish both measurements and provide the product-specific targets for your setup.

A useful distinction

Touchfree and friction
work differently.

A friction wash uses brushes or cloth to help remove soil. A touchfree wash relies on chemistry, water pressure, temperature, and dwell time. Settings should reflect the system doing the work.

Use a dilution range as a starting point within the product directions, then evaluate cleaning, rinsing, drying, and chemical consumption. More chemical does not automatically produce a better wash.

Products supplied by CWC

Know what each stage does.

Prep & presoak

Bug prep and presoaks begin the cleaning process. CWC options include Bug Zen, Optima AF-2, Titanium Step 2, Genesis, Titanium Ultra Low, and Titanium Summit.

Soap & foam

Friction soap, high-pressure soap, brush soap, and triple foam serve different applications. Examples include Mirror Wash, MLC 50, HP2000, Neo Foam, and Aurora products.

Wheels & tires

Wheel cleaners address soil on wheels; tire shine is a separate finishing step. CWC carries Aurora WC-500, Titanium Wheel Blaster, and Mirror Tire.

Protection & wax

Exquisite, Auto Bond, Carnuba Bond, and Mirror Carnuba products provide finishing options for your wash menu. Confirm the exact formula and application with CWC.

Rinse & drying

A drying agent such as Odyssey supports the finishing process. Its results depend on the earlier wash stages, application, rinse water, and drying equipment.

Facility & detail

CWC also supplies products for the wash facility, glass, and towels, including C3, C3 Ready-to-Use, Halo, and Slate. Each has its own directions.

Product examples are drawn from the CWC Chemical Program customer packet. Confirm current availability, compatibility, and pricing with CWC.

When results change

Check the basics before changing the mix.

Is the product reaching the car?

Check the product level and identity, visible tubing condition, and whether the expected function runs. Record what changed and share it with CWC.

What does the car tell you?

Describe the result: poor cleaning, residue, weak beading, water spots, or a drying problem. Note which wash package and stage are affected.

What changed recently?

Note a new pail, product change, tip adjustment, water issue, or maintenance work. Compare current settings with your setup sheet before making further changes.

Follow the product label and Safety Data Sheet for handling and application. Request any missing SDS from CWC.

Keep your program on track

Plan inventory around your car count.

Estimate the cars you expect to wash during your stocking period, then use measured consumption for each product to plan the quantity you need. Count inventory on the same day each week.

Compare chemical cost per car alongside cleaning results—not just the price of a pail.
